Playa Montezuma
The main beach sits right in town, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and watching spectacular sunsets. The golden sand beach extends along the coastline, offering plenty of space to relax. Tide pools form during low tide, revealing colorful marine life and providing natural exploration opportunities.
Playa Grande
A short walk north leads to Playa Grande, a longer stretch of beach popular with surfers and those seeking more space. The consistent waves make it ideal for surfing lessons or experienced surfers looking for good breaks. This beach is part of Refugio Nacional de Vida Silvestre Romelia, a vital wildlife refuge that Hotel nYa proudly supports through conservation efforts. Playa Montezuma is less than a 3-minute walk from Hotel nYa. Playa Grande is about 10 minutes north, while Playa Colorada is 15 minutes south along the coastal path.
